Tracking & consumption
Why doesn't Fuelio show my fuel consumption? How many fill-ups do I need?
To see fuel consumption (fuel economy) and other values in Stats you need at least two full-tank fill-ups (or two fill-ups with a known tank level, see below).
Fuelio uses the full tank method to calculate consumption. It is the most accurate way to do it: when you fill up to full twice, Fuelio knows exactly how many litres or gallons you used for the distance driven between those two fill-ups.
Partial fill-ups are still counted: they are added to the next full-tank calculation.
No full tank? Set the tank capacity in your vehicle, then use Set up tank level when you log a partial fill-up and say roughly how full the tank was before or after filling. Fuelio then treats that fill-up like a virtual full tank, so two fill-ups with a known level are enough. It is an estimate, so full tanks stay the most accurate.
There are other methods, for example based on an empty tank, but they are less accurate, and it is not safe to drive with an empty tank.
